Benefits

What the dry shampoo mist does.

  • No visible white residue.

That was the result in our tests on dark hair, where powdery residue is easy to notice.

  • Less oil at the roots.

Oil-absorbing starch, delivered in a fine liquid mist. Shake well, then aim at dry roots.

  • Still soft to the touch.

In our tests, hair stayed soft and easy to comb through, with no gritty feel.

  • A mist, not a cloud.

A non-aerosol pump lets you aim along your part, hairline and crown.

Between-Wash Hair Reset, Non-Aerosol Dry Shampoo Mist

Why we made it

Your roots say wash day. Your lengths say not yet.

The crown has gone flat, but your lengths still look good. Refresh the roots and keep the style you already have.

Less oil. Still your hair.

Traditional aerosol dry shampoos spray out absorbent powder. PALIM suspends its oil-absorbing starch in a fine liquid mist instead. Aim at dry roots, massage it in, and let the liquid dry. In our tests on dark hair, we saw no visible white residue and the hair stayed soft.

The ritual

How to use it

  1. Shake well before every use to mix the settled starch back into the liquid.

  2. Part your hair and mist lightly onto dry roots, along the part, hairline and crown. Start with a little.

  3. Massage it in with your fingertips.

  4. Let it dry, then style as usual. Nothing to rinse.

Let it dry before adding more, and keep the mist on your roots.

The formula

What's inside, and why

    Modified starch

  • Panthenol

    Panthenol

Provitamin B5, long used in haircare to help hair feel soft and smooth.

  • Echinacea and rhodiola

    Echinacea and rhodiola

A little more clarity

The questions worth asking before you buy.

  • Will my roots feel coated after dry shampoo?

The PALIM approach · Dry shampoo mist In our tests on dark hair, the mist left no visible white cast and hair stayed soft and easy to comb through. Start with a light mist and let it dry.
  • Can I refresh just the roots without another wash day?

The PALIM approach · Dry shampoo mist Yes. Shake, mist lightly onto dry roots, massage and let dry. Refresh the roots and leave the lengths alone. It won't replace a wash.

A few things worth knowing

Will it leave a white cast or make my hair feel stiff?

In our own tests with participants, including on long, dark hair, we saw no visible white cast and hair stayed soft and touchable. Start lightly and let your roots dry before adding more.

How is a liquid dry shampoo different?

Oil-absorbing starch is carried in a fine liquid mist from a non-aerosol pump. It briefly dampens your roots, then dries without rinsing. The starch can settle in the bottle, so give it a good shake each time.

How much should I use, and how quickly does it dry?

On short hair, 6 to 8 sprays across the part, sides and crown; on longer hair, 6 to 10. Fine hair usually needs 2 or 3 fewer. Massage gently. In our own use, a light application dried in 30 seconds or less. Let your roots dry fully before styling or adding more.

How long will one bottle last?

As a guide, 3–4 sprays every two days can last up to seven months. With 6–10 sprays every two to three days, expect around three to four months. These are usage estimates; the amount your hair needs will vary.

Does it replace washing or work after a workout?

It refreshes oily roots between washes and fits alongside your usual shampoo. It does not remove sweat or buildup, or change how much oil your scalp produces. After a workout, let your roots dry first, and wash whenever your scalp needs it.

Can I keep using my usual hair products?

Yes—there is no need to change your whole routine. Keep conditioner and leave-ins on your lengths as usual, and use this mist on dry roots between washes. It takes the place of another dry shampoo; start with it on its own rather than layering the two.

What does it smell like, and is it right for a sensitive scalp?

It has a floral scent of lily, violet and rose over cedarwood. In our own use, the scent remained noticeable through the day; this is not a measure of oil control. The formula contains alcohol and fragrance, so it may not suit a sensitive scalp. Check the ingredients and stop if irritation occurs.

What if I have used too much?

If your hair feels coated, dry or stiff, wash it out and try a lighter application next time, just at the roots. You can always add a little once it has dried. If it still is not right for your hair, our 30-day guarantee is there to help.
