A little more clarity

The questions worth asking before you buy.

  • How do I get scalp scrub particles to the scalp?

The PALIM approach · Exfoliating scalp scrub Part your wet hair and place the scrub right on your scalp, section by section. Massage gently with your fingertips, rinse thoroughly, then shampoo.
  • What's the difference between the scalp serum and the scalp scrub?

The PALIM approach · Exfoliating scalp scrub The serum exfoliates with lactic acid, without grit. The scrub has clay and cherry shell particles. Choose by feel and use one per wash.

A few things worth knowing

Should I choose the scrub or the serum?

This is a creamy scrub with clay and cherry shell particles. The serum exfoliates with lactic acid, without grit. Choose the texture you prefer and use one per wash; you do not need both.

How often do I need a scalp scrub?

Use it occasionally when your roots feel heavy or coated, no more than once a week. If shampoo alone leaves your scalp comfortable and clean, you can skip this step.

How do I use it with my usual shampoo?

Apply to a wet scalp and massage gently with your fingertips. Leave for 5–15 minutes, rinse out the particles thoroughly, then wash with your usual shampoo. The scrub does not replace shampoo.

Will it scratch or irritate my scalp?

Use a light touch with your fingertips, rather than your nails. Avoid a sore or irritated scalp. If the scrub feels uncomfortable, rinse it off and stop using it.

Is it a dandruff treatment?

No. It is a cosmetic scalp scrub, not a treatment for dandruff or another scalp condition. If flaking or itching keeps coming back, ask a dermatologist for advice.

Can I use it on colored or bleached hair?

We have not established color-treatment compatibility. Follow your colorist’s aftercare advice, and avoid exfoliating a scalp that feels sensitive after treatment.

Is it vegan, nut-free or gluten-free?

It is nut-free and gluten-free. It is not vegan, because it contains keratin from sheep wool. The complete ingredients are listed above.

What does it smell like?

Vanilla and woody notes, with peppermint. It contains fragrance, so check the ingredient list if fragrance is a concern for you.
