Our story

Why PALIM exists.

It started with listening.

We read thousands of reviews and conversations from people who were tired of their hair products: a white cast to rub out, hair left stiff or coated, a smell that lasts all day. Small things, but they add up when you live with them every morning.

You deserve better than “it works, but…”. So that’s what we set out to make.

We take our time with every product. We look closely at what goes into the formula and why. We test, compare, and only keep what we’d happily use ourselves. If it doesn’t feel good on your hair, it isn’t ready.

We also learned something along the way: your roots and your ends don’t need the same care. So every PALIM product is made for one of them, and made to do that one job well.

We’re a small team, and we read every message. If something isn’t right, tell us. We want to hear it.

With care, PALIM · Saint-Étienne

The name, and the rules we keep

PALIM comes from palimpsest: a page written on, partly erased, then written on again. Refreshed, not wiped clean. That's what a good between-wash day feels like.

What we can and can't tell you

On every product, we tell you what we've tested and what we haven't. If we haven't tested something, we say so instead of borrowing a claim from someone else's bottle.

Try it without the risk

Every product comes with our 30-day guarantee. If it isn't right for your hair, email us within 30 days of delivery and we'll refund it. You don't need to send it back.

Start with what you need

You don't need a whole routine. One product that does one job well is a good place to start.

Dry shampoo without the dry-shampoo feeling.

It's day two. Your roots look oily and the front has gone flat, but the rest of your hair is still clean, still styled, and nowhere near ready for another wash. So we made a mist for the one part that needs it.

Why PALIM exists

Your roots are weeks old. Your ends can be years old.

Your scalp supplies fresh oil at the roots. Your lengths have lived through washing, brushing, heat and color. Every PALIM product tells you where it goes, so you can care for each part differently.

Light and fresh at the root.

The newest part of your hair, where oil and buildup collect first. Our ROOT care refreshes it between washes, cleanses it on wash day and resets it once a week.

Soft and smooth to the ends.

Care for the older lengths with conditioning, detangling and softness. Apply where needed, keeping richer formulas off the roots.
