Some routines read like a shopping list. Shampoo, conditioner, mask, serum, oil, mist, scrub—and somehow every product is presented as essential. Your hair does not need to audition for a ten-step routine. It needs you to notice what is happening today.
At PALIM, we think in three moments: wash day, between washes, and an occasional treatment. The right product depends on which moment you are in and whether the need is at your roots or through your lengths.
Moment one: wash day
Start at the scalp. Oil and most styling residue collect near the roots, so focus shampoo there instead of repeatedly scrubbing the older, more vulnerable ends. Work Clean Wash into thoroughly wet roots, massage with your fingertips and rinse. Let the lather travel down the lengths with the water.
Now change zones. Apply Soft Conditioner through the mid-lengths and ends. Start with less than you think, gently finger-comb and rinse well. If your ends are especially dry, Deep Repair Mask can replace Soft Conditioner on a treatment wash; you do not need to pile both on by default.
After washing, clean damp ends that still catch on a comb may benefit from a few sprays of Softness Mist. It is a leave-in, not a heat protectant. Skip it if your lengths already feel sufficiently soft.
Moment two: the day your roots need help before the rest does
Maybe your roots are oily but your ends still look good. That is a between-wash problem, not necessarily a whole-head problem. Shake Between-Wash Hair Reset, mist a little onto dry roots, massage gently and allow the liquid to dry. It helps absorb excess oil; it does not cleanse the scalp or replace shampoo.
If the roots still feel dirty, itchy or uncomfortable, wash instead. A product that refreshes appearance should never be used to argue you out of cleansing when you need it.
Moment three: the occasional treatment
Choose a treatment for a specific reason, not because the calendar says you must own one. Prefer particle-free scalp exfoliation? Weekly Scalp Reset is a short-contact lactic-acid pre-wash serum. Prefer a hands-on physical scrub? Deep Scalp Cleanse is the occasional alternative. You do not need both in the same session.
For dry-feeling lengths, Pre-Wash Oil is a conditioning ritual you shampoo out. It is optional, not a regrowth treatment.
The simplest way to decide
- Roots oily, lengths fine? Refresh only the roots, or wash if they need cleansing.
- Roots clean, ends tangled? Care for the lengths rather than adding more scalp product.
- Ordinary conditioner enough? You can skip the mask.
- No particular scalp concern? You can skip the exfoliation step.
The best routine is one you can understand and repeat. Start with the product that answers today's problem; let the rest earn their place. Find your PALIM routine or explore the range.
