Benefits

Cleanses oily roots and the scalp, where oil and buildup start.

Helps roots look fuller and less flat after the wash.

Conditioning ingredients and keratin, so a proper clean still feels soft.

Massage it into the scalp and let the rinse carry it through the lengths.
Why we made it
Massage it in where oil collects, then let the rinse run through the lengths. Conditioner follows, only where you need slip.
Sodium Coco-Sulfate and glucoside cleansers wash away oil and buildup, with keratin and conditioning ingredients for softness. Massage into wet roots and scalp, then rinse through the lengths. It isn't sulfate-free and doesn't change how much oil your scalp produces.
The ritual
Wet your hair.
Massage Volume Wash into your roots and scalp until it foams.
Let the foam run through your lengths as you rinse. No need to scrub the ends.
Rinse thoroughly. Follow with the conditioner on your ends.
The formula
The protein hair is mostly made of, in smaller pieces. It helps protect against breakage. Ours comes from sheep wool.

A botanical oil from organic farming, in a formula that leaves hair noticeably soft.

Part of the formula, alongside chanterelle mushroom extract.
A little more clarity
How do I clean oily roots without roughening the ends?
Does a sulfate-free shampoo actually clean oily roots?
It helps. Washing oil and buildup off your roots lets flat-looking hair look fuller. How much lift you get depends on your hair and how you style it.
It washes the oil and buildup off your roots properly. How fast the oil comes back depends on your scalp, not your shampoo. For the evenings and days in between, that's what the dry shampoo mist is for.
No. It contains Sodium Coco-Sulfate, supported by Lauryl Glucoside and other cleansers. The full ingredients are listed under Add to cart.
It shouldn't, if you shampoo where it's needed. Focus on your scalp and roots instead of scrubbing the older lengths, rinse well, then condition your ends.
No need. Massage it into your roots and scalp, and let the foam run through your lengths as you rinse.
As often as your scalp and hair need. There's no prize for going longer between washes.
A second wash can help when there is a lot of oil or product at the roots. Shampoo and rinse thoroughly, and repeat only if needed.
We haven't tested it as a color-safe shampoo, so we won't call it one. If your hair is colored, your colorist is the best person to ask.
No. There are no silicones in the keratin shampoo.
We don't claim it does. Rosemary oil is in the formula, from organic farming, but this is a shampoo, not a growth treatment.
Vanilla and woody notes, with peppermint. It contains fragrance.
No. It contains keratin from sheep wool.
